GOALD news: Road Shows

Plymouth based researchers Katie and Hannah have now finished their roadshows at care homes participating in GOALD across the South West. In total they visited six homes to get feedback from staff on the suitability and feasibility of residents using the ROVR Wizdish VR treadmill and headset.

Immersive content has also been developed by the Eden project and is being trialled by three care homes (St Breock, Headlands and Woodlands House, part of the Cornwall Care group) using different extended reality including: 1) tablets, 2) a projector and 3) a VR reality headset. The content allows residents to see and hear different parts of the Eden project, all in different ways. We’re really excited to hear what both the residents and staff have to say about the different experiences.
